It's just hit October, parts of Devils Lake water temperatures are falling below 50 degrees, and the bigger fish are taking the hint! We got a lot of smaller fish from 10-14 inches with jigging raps on main lake humps, but trolling crankbaits really put some big fish in the boat, even a 37 inch pike. The action isn't as fast and furious, but the quality is really superb. After the large pike, we managed six walleye ranging from 18-25 inches once we found our afternoon spot at about 1:00 PM.
